26/11 And "Myth of Saffron Terrorism" - Part One

26/11 And "Myth of Saffron Terrorism" - Part One

Prologue

During 2004 and 2014, there were huge number of violent terrorist attacks. Just to give an idea, during this period, there were 25 major terrorist attacks in India. Please see the link given in this article to see the details. And government in power at that time was unable to stop these regular attacks.

Each of these terrorist attacks were done by the believers of radical Islam, either by Indian
radical Muslim organizations like SIMI or by Pakistan based terrorist organizations like JeM, LeT
etc.

By early 2007, the existing political establishment was worried about getting muslim votes in the
upcoming general elections, which was due in 2009. Muslim community was extremely unhappy
with the then ruling party on the harassment of Muslim youths by the police and widespread bad publicity to the muslim community.

Then ruling party wanted a diversionary story to mask the terrorist activities that happened between 2004 and 2008 (before 26/11/2008). They had the urgency to INVENTsomething big that would undermine all the Muslim terrorist activities for all these years. It should project, it is not just the Muslims who are doing terrorism but Hindus too are equally involved. Hence ruling party leaders coined the term "Saffron Terrorism".

What was Saffron Terrorism?
It was a theory that was created to imply that Hindus were being trained by the right wing Hindu organizations like RSS, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajarang Dal and Sanatan Dharm, to conduct terrorist activities in India.

Who created this theory?
The term “Saffron Terrorism” was introduced and described many times by the senior then ruling party leaders and ministers in the UPA government like Rahul Gandhi, P. Chidambaram, Digvijay Singh, A. R. Antule, Shushil Kumar Shinde, Sharad Pawar.

Please see the links given in this article whereinthese leaders have talked about "Saffron Terrorism".

How did the concept of "Saffron Terrorism" evolve?
By late 2006, Congress party, rattled by the unstoppable continuous terrorist attacks, started looking for the ways to divert public/media attention from the radical muslim activities and put the blame on the majority Hindu community for some of the terrorist attacks. They picked up past attacks like Samjhauta Express bombing (2006) and Malegoan blasts (2007) for putting the blame on Hindu terrorists under the term "Saffron Terrorism"..
Both these terrorist attacks were picked because the Muslims were the victims in these bombings and notion was, "Muslims don't kill brother Muslims." They arrested Sadvi Pragya, Lt. Col. Purohit and others in these bombings in 2008. This was the time when India heard the term "Saffron Terrorism" for the first time.

How these earlier terrorist attacks are linked with 26/11 attacks?
The process of framing Hindus in these terrorist attacks had began in late 2008 by arresting activists from Hindu organizations. They were arrested for Malegoan blasts and Samjhauta Express bombing. But Congress party leaders knew, arresting few Hindus in two terrorist activities was not going to make a big dent. The Congress leaders wanted something very big (terrorist) action to happen so that they can link Hindus to this attack. This would have given credibility to the "Saffron Terrorism" and shame majority Hindu communit. This would have also relived the Muslim community from all the terrorist attacks since 2004.

This is the most likely reason why 26/11 was planned and executed. The original plan was to blame Hindus for the 26/11 attacks, but that failed completely because of two reasons. First Kasab was caught alive and second, Intelligence Bureau (IB) intercepted Pakistani handler's wireless communication with the 10 terrorists.

26/11 attackers were Pakistanis, then how this attack could be linked to Saffron
Terrorism?
Now one may ask, how 26/11 attacks could be linked with Saffron Terrorism whenall the 10 terrorists were identified as Muslim terrorists from Pakistan. Well, this partis explained in details with facts in this article but just to give a hint, all these 10
terrorists were wearing red/saffron wrist bands, just like Hindus wear. All of themhad fake identitycards with Hindu names. The fake name and identity of eachterrorist is given in this article.

Pakistan had conducted numerous terrorists attacks in India using Pakistani nationalsbut in no case, they tried to hide their identity. Then why they were using Hindu namesthis time? Why these terrorists were taught to speak fluent Hindi? All these points, which are not known to the common people are discussed in this article with all the relevant links.

The article also examines Additional Police Commissioner, Mr. Hemant Karkare's role in investigating the "Saffron Terrorism" charges. The question is,...was he really killed by Kasab and Ismail in the narrow lane of Rang Bhavan on the night of 26/11? Was he set up to be a fall guy to give authenticity to the theory, that Saffron Terrorists
killed Karkare during 26/11 because he was investigating Hindu organization's role in Samjhauta Express bombing and Malegoan bombing?

Police have the list of arms and ammunitions that the 10 Pakistani terrorists carried with them from Pakistan. This ammunition was not at all sufficient to carry out war with the security forces for 68 hours. Does it mean, they received replenishment of arms and ammunitions in the two hotels? Did someone stocked them in the hotel
room prior to 26/11?

There are lot of such open questions, which are discussed in this article.

Who were involved in the 26/11 conspiracy?
This article  has gone in depth to establish a nexus between different terrorists incidences prior to 26/11 and with 26/11.  The analysis of information leads to an understanding that 26/11 attack was not just the work of Pakistan but multiple entities might have been involved. The Indian politicians might have collaborated with Pakistan’s Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) and Jaish-e-Mohommad (JeM).  Plus, the terrorists might have received vital help from few top level Mumbai police officers and few Mumbai locals.

26/11 attacks were not just the work of Pakistan, as portrayed earlier. There might be some powerful Indians involved. It was a very dangerous game played with the security, integrity and honor of the Indian nation.

About this article...
This article is written after about three years of painstaking research and connecting
the dots. The article discuss lots of activities that happened prior to 26/11 because
without which, it is difficult to connect dots with 26/11.

This article was ready in April 2019 itself but I did not publish it because of the general elections in India in May 2019. I did not want anyone to say that the article is written with a intention of giving political advantage to
any party.

I have referred books like "Hindu Terrorism" written by Mr. R. V. S. Mani, Marathi book
Kasab Ani Mi 26/11 by Ramesh Mahale and "To The Last Bullet" by Ms. Vinita Kamte for
this article. I want to sincerely thank these writers for giving good insight of Saffron
Terrorism and 26/11 attacks. This article
also referred lot of online publications and

Part One -
Saffron Terrorism
During UPA rule, there were 25 terrorist attacks between 2004 and 2008, all over major cities in India. Please see the list below.

Most of these terrorist acts were done by the Muslim terrorist organizations, some indigenous organizations and some directly by Pakistan. But the bottom line was, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government was unable to stop these terrorist
attacks happening at regular intervals. However, it was showing the UPA government in a very bad light. This was not good for the Congress Partyvote bank politics.

Congress government wanted to divert the attention from Muslim terrorism to something else. Hence “Saffron Terrorism” term was coined to show that, not only Muslims but Hindus too, are involved in the terrorist attacks. Congress government wanted to show that Hindus are equally responsible for the terrorism. The government expectation was, this line of argument would shift the focus from Muslim terrorism to Hindu terrorism. Thus. the senior most ministers from UPA government and senior Congress Party leaders, repeatedly made statements in 2008, MUCH BEFORE 26/11 about the Saffron Terrorism. Please see the statement of Rahul Gandhi, the thenhome minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijay Singh and Finance MinisterChidambaram down below.

Statement from Sushil Kumar Shinde -

Statement from Rahul Gandhi made to the US ambassador

Statement from Didvijay Singh that was published in Pakistani press.

Statement from Sharad Pawar implicating Sadvi Pragya and Lt. Col. Purohit

These leaders knew that making verbal statements on Saffron Terrorism meant nothing and theyneeded a rock solid story and the arrests of Hindus to prove the allegations. Because of this, the leaders dug into past terrorists attacks which were targeted against the Muslim population, such as the Samjhauta Express bombing and Malegoan bomb blasts.

Happenings before 26/11

Let's check what happened when on the timeline
We will put the all the major happenings in Samzuata Express bombing and Malegoan bombing on the timescale to get clear picture of how UPA government successfully changed the facts to blame it on Saffron Terrorism. These are the two bombings where UPA government shifted the blame on Saffron Terrorism. It isinteresting to note the dates here. SamjhautaExpress bomb blast occurredon 18Th Feb 2007 and Malegoan bomb blast happened on 8Th September 2006.

Till early 2008, investigation agencies were suspecting Pakistani based terrorist organizations likeLaskhar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammadas the prime suspects. Investigation agencies shared this information with the union home ministry and this was also recorded in the official Meeting Minutes of the Home Department held in early 2008.
Please see the video clip given below. In this MOM, there is no mention of “Saffron Terrorism” in these meeting minutes. Please note, all these dates are well before 26/11.

On 26ThMarch 2008, (well before 26/11) NIA arrested chief of SIMI (Students Islamic Movement of India)  Safdar Naagari from Indore. He was subjected to Norco Polygraph test and he clearly said, the Samjhauta Express bombing and Malegoan bombing were executed by LeT in conjunction with SIMI. He gave the 12 names of those involved, explained their roles and motive behind these blasts. With his statements, it was very clear that it was the work of Pakistan’s ISI, LeT and SIMI. He did not take names of any Hindu person or any Hindu organization. Though the Norco Polygraph testimony is not admissible in the court as an evidence but still NIA should have followedup on the names, leads and investigated. None of this information was checked by NIA or any other investigating agency…WHY? It was clear that till March 2008, there was no indication of Hindu
Terrorists involved in these two bomb blasts.

Please see the actual video of Safdar Naagri giving Norco test. It is shocking….

The Norco testing info extracted from Safdar Naagri was available well before Lt. Colonel Purohit, Sadhvi Pagya and Swami Aasamanand were arrested on the charges of bombing Samjhauta Express and Malegoan blasts. But then, why UPA government ignored the info given by the dreaded terrorist, Safdar Naagari and instead, arrested Lt. Colonel Purohit, Sadhvi Pagya few months later for the Samjhuata express bombing and Malegoan bombing?

Gurdeep Singh  who was the investigating office for the Samjhauta Express bombing (Before NIA took over) has given a witness in the court saying, he had interrogated a Pakistani national named Azmat Ali. Azmat’s description matched with the description of the person who had placed bomb in the Samjhauta express. Later, Azmat and his accompli had confessed their role in the bombing and were granted 14 days judicial custody by the court. But at the end of 14 days, top police officers informed the court that they have completed the investigation and this man is innocent and must be released. Based on this disposition, court released Azmat. Later, Azmat disappeared completely with no trace. How could police determine so quickly that Azmat was not involved? Why he was let go when he was an illegal pakistani national with no travel documents? This could not have happened w/o very high level political pressure. Who did that?
Please read the article below.

After Samjhauta Express bombing, United Statesconducted its own analysis and named Aariz Kasmaniof Pakistan’s LeT organization as the kingpin for the bombing.
US moved to United Nation and declared his name as a terrorists. US shared this information with India but again, UPA government did nothingon this info.

This clearly shows till April 2008, central home ministry had clear information that these two blastswas the handiwork of Pakistani terrorist groups and Indian Mujahiddin (IM).

Can UPA ministers explain why no action was taken on Safdar Naagari’s Norco testimony? Why Pakistani national Kazmi was let go from the jail without proper investigation? This information was available well before the Lt. Colonel Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya were arrested for their terrorist role in the SAME CRIME, that is, Samjhauta express blast and Malegoan blast. If UPA government had honestly probed the Norco testing information then probably, lots of lives could have been saved. But UPA government failed to probe the details from the Norco testing. It is interesting to mention here an incidence that Home Ministry Under Secretary Mr. Mani has written in his book “Hindu Terrorism”. He has said, one day in 2006 he got a call from the home minister’s office asking him to come to see Home Minister immediately. Since all his seniors were out of office and he was the senior most officer, he went to the Home Minister, Mr. Shivraj Patil’s chamber. There were two more people in the chamber before Mr. Mani went. One was Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mr. Digvijay Singh and the second was a new face to Mr. Mani. Digvijay Singh introduced the second person as Mr. Hemant Karkare, IPS officer from Maharashtra cadre. Mr.Mani was wondering what a Maharashtra cadre IPS officer Karkare doing with M.P. chief minister? What is the connectio?Slowly these two started discussion about Saffron Terrorism, a term totally unheard by Mr. Mani earlier. They were talking about a fire and a small blast in the industrial area in Nanded. Apparentlya small scale manufacturing unit had caught fire and there was a small blast of some industrial gas cylinder. Local police had arrested the owner of the unit, named Mr. Kulkarni. The local police had a suspicion that Kulkarni deliberately set the fire to claim insurance. Mr. Mani could not give any inputs on this case because Home Ministry had never heard of this incidence.

But Digvijay Singh and Karkare were discussing the possibility of converting this fire and the blas as an act of some sort of Saffron Terrorism. At that time, Mani had no idea what “Saffron Terrorism” was. With the conversation going on between Karkare and Digvijay Singh, Mr. Mani understood that Hemant Karkare had tried arresting Kulkarni for Saffron Terrorism but could not find enough evidence to prove the charges against Mr. Kulkarni and they had to let him go. Basically Karkarewas trying to “FIND” evidence to make arrests under the term “Saffron Terrorism”.
Please note, this is a story from 2006.

While all this was going on, home minister Shivraj Patil was sitting in a different area in his office. Being a Home Minister, he was not part of this discussions!

Here are few more interesting dates.
Lt. Colonel Purohit was arrested in early November 2008, just two weeks before 26/11.Sadhvi Pragya was arrested October 2008, this is also just before 26/11.
Both these arrests were widely publicized by the UPA government and lot of extravagant publicity campaign was launched by the UPA governmenton the coined term of “Saffron Terrorists”.

Here are the highlights of sequence of events….
8Th September 2006 - Malegoan bomb blast
18Th February 2007 - Samjhauta Express bombing
6th March 2007 - Pakistani national Kazmi arrested for Samjhauta express bombing.
20th March 2007 - Kazmi released by the court
Till March 2008 - All Home Ministry reports suggest involvement of SIMI and some other Pakistani groups in these two bombings.
26th March 2008 -  SIMI chief, Safdaar Nagari was arrested and later he confirmed involvement. of JeM, LeT and SIMI organizations in these two bomb blasts. He did not mention involvement of any Hindu organization.
Note - Till March 2008, Home Ministry was believing that these two bomb blasts were the work of Pakistani LeT and SIMI.
October/November 2008 - Maharashtra government arrested Sadhvi Pragya and Colonel Purohit for their role in Samjhauta Express blast and Malegoan blasts. UPA government coins the term “Saffron Terrorism” and start widespread publicity campaign.

AND WITHIN A MONTH AFTER THE ARRESTS, THE 26/11 HAPPENS…..
ALL THE TEN TERRORISTS WERE WEARING SAFFRON THREADS ON THEIR WRISTS AND ALL OF THEM HAD FAKE IDENTITY CARDS WITH HINDU NAMES.

ARE YOU FINDING THE CONNECTING LINK HERE BETWEEN GOVERNMENT COINING THE TERM “SAFFRON TERRORISM” AND 26/11 ATTACKS HAPPENING WITHIN A MONTH AFTER THAT? THIS IS JUST ONE POINTER. MANY MORE SHOCKING LINKS ARE COMING UP.

Vaaze Gate - Possibilities

Vaaze really had guts to put explosives outside Antelia, all by himself?
This is a joke. He would have never dreamed to do this to Mukesh Ambani. He was a police officer and knew the consequences of this misadventure against India’s topmost businessman. I don’t think he really expected of getting an extortion money from Ambani by placing the explosives.
Let’s understand more about explosives. The gelatin explosives planted in the car did not have any dittonetors attached. The gelatin explosive is harmless without detonators. It needs high current spark to explode. It cannot explode in normal handling hence the explosives kept in the vehicle were harmless.
Now let’s see what damage these gelatin sticks would have done if they had exploded. The gelatin explosives are used in mining or construction  works. They are used mainly for the commercial purpose and not for terrorist activities.
The terrorists favor RDX (Research Developed Explosives) because a small quantity of 10 Kg can make a big impact. To get the same impact with gilatine, one has to use huge quantity of gelatin!!! Getting this huge quantity, it’s transportation, storage assembly etc is very cumbersome and expensive. Hence Terrorists don’t use it. This analysis proves, it was not the work of real terrorists.
If these 20 gelatin sticks would have exploded, then the maximum damage it could have done is killing some people on the road and probably damaging the compound wall of Alitalia. It would done no big damage to Ambani.
The. The question is why they were planted there?

26/11 And "Myth of Saffron Terrorism" - Part Two

26/11 And "Myth of Saffron Terrorism" - Part Two

Happenings Before 26/11 .... Continued from Part 1

In early November 2008, that is just before 26/11, certain important happenings took place as a part of "Operation Saffron Terrorism". The Mumbai ATS arrested Lt. Col. Purohit in connection with the Malegoan blast. They arrested him under the charges that he was a member of a Hindu extremist organization named Abhinav Bharat, he attended the their meetings and supplied RDX for the Malegoan blast.

It is very important to understand details of Lt. Col. Purohit's arrest because it is closely linked with 26/11 attacks.

Before we understand the link between Lt. Col. Purohit's arrest by ATS and 26/11 attacks, let's understand who is Lt. Col. Purohit? Why a working army officer was arrested in charges of terrorism? How he was arrested? How he was treated during interrogation? What charges were filed against him etc.

Lt. Col. Purohit....

Image result for lt. col. purohit

Who is Lt. Col. Purohit?
Lt. Col. Purohit is an army decorated officer who was working in Military Intelligence (Popularly known as MI). The purpose of MI is to gather intelligence within the country and outside the country, analyze threat perception and neutralize them. As we can see this is a very sensitive department where only select few get a chance to work after thorough background check.

Officers working in this department often have to go deep undercover and work with dangerous people to gather intelligence. This is very risky, a small mistake can blow up their cover and get them killed. In their world there is nothing like black and white, or good or bad, everything is in the shades of gray. Undercover officers may have to cross the line sometimes, to earn the trust from the bad people, but they do it for the country. These officers sometimes have no contact with their families for months. All the communication between the undercover and his/her family is managed by the military. The job is tough but Lt. Col. Purohit was doing it for the country.

How was Lt. Col. Purohit arrested by Mumbai ATS?

Arresting a military personnel by a civilian police officer is not that easy. Police cannot arrest military personnel like any other civilian. They have to follow certain procedures to arrest.

If the military person is involved in some criminal activity outside the military camp and found on the crime site then local police can take him into the custody but have to inform the military establishment within a stipulated time period (I am not sure but it is within 48 hours). If the military personnel is not found on site but police wants to arrest that person then they have to apply to the military establishment and Military Police handover that person to the civilian police.

In Lt. Col. Purohit's case none of these procedures were followed. Lt. Col. Purohit himself has narrated how he was arrested by Mumbai ATS in his written complaint in 2013 to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), to the then Prime Minister of India and to the then President of India. Then Indian PM and President never replied to his complaint and NHRC is still investigating the complaint even after 6 years! Copy of his complaint is in the public domain for last so many years but still no one has taken any objection to what
Lt. Col. Purohit said or challenged his complaint in the court. which means what he has said, must be true. This letter is attached in this article for your review.

During the last week of October 2008, Lt. Col. Purohit was taking a training at Panchmadhi in MP, when his superior, Col. R. K. Shrivastava went there personally and issued Travel Order to him to go to New Delhi for some urgent work. Colonel Shrivastava was to accompany him to New Delhi on 29th October 2008. On the way to the Bhopal airport, Colonel Strivastava took cellphone from Lt. Col. Purohit and did not show him his air tickets too. After checkin at the airport, Colonel Srivastava told Lt. Col. Purohit that they are going to Mumbai and not to New Delhi. After hearing this, Lt. Col. Purohit  asked for his cell phone so that he can inform his wife but Colonel Shrivastava did not give the cell phone.

Now, as per the military procedure, if the travel plan is changed then a new Travel Order has to be issued but no new Travel Order was given to Lt. Col. Purohit. The question is, why Colonel Shrivastava did not follow the military procedure? Why Lt. Col. Purohit was given a Travel Order to go to New Delhi but then secretly taken to Mumbai? If Mumbai ATS wanted to interrogate/ arrest Lt. Col. Purohit then why they did not make a formal request to military establishment to handover Lt. Col. Purohit? It is very evident that Colonel Shrivastava did not follow official military rules, which means Lt. Col. Purohit was arrested ILLEGALLY.

After Reaching Mumbai airport late in the evening, Lt. Col. Purohit was hurriedly pushed into a private vehicle and taken to a private bungalow in Khandala (a place between Mumbai and Pune). Till he reached Khandala, Lt. Col. Purohit had no clue what was happening with him. He was received by Mumbai ATS chief Hemant Karkare, Dy. ATS Chief Parambir Singh and other ATS officers in the bungalow. They tortured him for next NINE days and on 8th November 2008 they formally announced his arrest. This means, Lt. Col. Purohit was ILLEGALLY detained for NINE days by the Mumbai ATS.

Inhuman torture....

During these first nine days, the ATS team headed by Hemant Karkare gave worst than 3rd degree treatment to Lt. Col. Purohit. He was beaten up so badly that his several bones bones were broken, his ligaments were ruptured. Lt. Col. Purohit had told ATS officers that he had a knee surgery earlier and doctors have put steel plate in his leg and stretching his legs in 180 degrees would create serious injury but still they enjoyed doing it, resulting in severe injury. There are lot of graphic details that Lt. Col. Purohit has given in the letter that he wrote to the then Prime Minister of India. I am not sharing these details here because they are very graphic, violent and disgusting. But I am attaching the link of this letter in this article and interested readers can read at it at their own discretion.

The Mumbai ATS team lead by Hemant Karkare did not stop by torturing Lt. Col. Purohit  physically. At one of of time, Karkare, his deputy Parambir Singh and Col. Shrivastava talked about arresting his mother, wife and sister and parading them naked in front of everyone!

ATS was doing all this torture and psychological pressure on Lt. Col. Purohit to make him accept his role in Malegoan bombing forcefully. But Lt. Col. Purohit did not agree to sign the confession and hence the torture continued.

After the initial police remand, when Lt. Col. Purohit was produced before the magistrate for extending the police custody. He informed the court about the torture and complained to the court with the names of the officers who tortured him. As a result, court ordered a medical exam in the military hospital. The medical exam reports confirmed the torture and hence court did not grant police custody but gave a judicial custody.

If these torture charges are true then it shows the indecency of Hemant Karkare, Parambir Singh and Col. Shrivastava. Karkare and his team behaved worst than an animal while dealing with a decorated military officer. It is really shameful behavior for an educated senior IPS officer. This is said, only with the underlining belief that the torture charges are true. The other side has neither challenged Lt. Col. Purohit's torture charges nor they have put out their side of story hence I will go with what is said by Lt. Col Purohit.

Please see the video of Lt. Col. Purohit's wife narrating how he was tortured.

Please see the video of the Lt. Col. Purohit's letter.

Please read the full handwritten letter that Lt. Col. Purohit wrote in Dec 2013 to the NHRC, then Prime Minister of India and then president of India. PMO did not even acknowledge, receiving this letter!

Warning - This letter has very graphic description of the torture, which some of you may not feel comfortable to read. Hence read this letter at your discretion.
If these allegations are indeed true then I don't know what Karkare was thinking when he tortured a decorated army officer, in an inhuman way.  Did he think he was untouchable because of his links with the political leaders?

But Karma acts with its own justice. Within a month after arresting Lt. Col. Purohit, Hemant Karkare was killed by Pakistani terrorists on the night of 26/11. Not convinced about his death, his wife, Ms. Kavita started asking pointed questions about her husband's death but no one in the police department, government or politicians bothered to answer her questions. She was running from pillar to post but no one helped.

This was exactly how Lt. Col. Purohit's wife Ms. Aparna was running around, just a month earlier,  asking questions about her husband after he was arrested by Karkare. She too was running from pillar to post wanting to know why her husband was arrested, where was he kept, what charges were filed etc but no one bothered to answer her. Sometimes Karma returns the punishment too quickly.

Please see the comments from Ms. Kavita Karkare about her husbands death.

There are many rumors as why Lt. Col. Purohit was made a scapegoat in this case. I cannot confirm any of these rumors because there is no corroborating information to support these claims. Hence I cannot say for sure, why Lt. Col. Purohit was picked up as a fall guy?

Image result for lt. col. purohit

What happened to Lt. Col. Purohit after the arrest?

Mumbai ATS started collecting evidence against Lt. Col. Purohit. They raided a house in Deolali near Nashik and claimed that they recovered military grade RDX explosives from this house, which was stocked by Lt. Col Purohit

Mumbai ATS initially claimed that the quantity seized in this house was stolen by Lt. Col. Purohit from the military stock. This was proved wrong because Indian military does not use this type of RDX for its use and a result they have no stock.

When this story fell apart, then they came up with another story. The story was, few months earlier, large quantity of RDX was seized during a raid in J&K. Lt. Col. Purohit was part of that raid and he walked away with 60 Kgs of RDX from that seizure and part of that quantity was used in the Malegoan blast.

This claim too fell apart because military later confirmed that all the quantity seized from the J&K raid was fully accounted for and it is safely stored with military. No quantity was stolen. In fact, military's internal inquiry proved that Lt. Col. was not an authorized person to handle RDX from the raid site and he was no where near that raid site. Please see the reports below where military confirmed this in the court.

Later in 2011when the investigation was transferred to NIA, they too found no truth in stolen RDX story.

But the quantity seized by Mumbai ATS was indeed a military grade RDX. If this was not stolen from the military stock  or from raid then where did it come from? How Mumbai ATS got hold of this dangerous material? This should have been inquired but never investigated.

Another important point to understand. Lt. Col. Purohit is a trained military officer who knows what RDX is. Do you think he would stock it in a house where there is a thick population around and lots of families staying nearby? Though RDX is not explosive in normal stocking conditions and it requires very high grade spark to ignite (Improvised Explosive Devise or IED) but still a small mishap could have killed hundreds of innocent people. Do you think a trained military officer can take this risk? Hence ATS claim looks absurd.

Why Supreme Court grated bail to Lt. Col Purohit?

Government had pressed MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act) charges on Lt. Col. Purohit. This is a very stringent act in Maharashtra to control organized crime. A person booked under this charge can be kept in the jail infinitely without filing the charges and without a possibility of bail.

As per the provision, MCOCA can be applied only to those people who are repeat offender in the organized crimes. Lt. Col. Purohit was not arrested earlier for any organized crime hence MCOCA charges  would have fallen apart in the lower court itself. Hence ATS and later NIA went out of their way to show Lt. Col. Purohit was involved in the Samjhauta express bombing too. They tried to collect evidence against Lt. Col. Purohit but they were not successful.

Lt. Col. Purohit tried to get MCOCA lifted but not successful even in Mumbai High Court. The SCI looked at the evidences, talked to the whiteness and found no merit in applying MCOCA. This was the big relief to Lt. Col. Purohit because MCOCA was not allowing him to get bail. Here are the details of SCI verdict.

Later a bail application was moved and SCI found that ATS and NIA had not filed even the formal charge sheet even after nine years! SCI talked to the witnesses and they told that they were beaten up and threatened by ATS to give the false statements earlier. Plus NIA had not submitted any formidable evidence to prove Lt. Col. Purohit's guilt. The RDX story too fell apart. The MCOCA was already removed and other charges filed were of minor nature. These minor charges attracted maximum of seven years punishment but Lt. Col. Purohit had already spent 9 years in jail. Hence SCI ultimately granted bail to him on 23rd August 2017.

When Lt. Col. Purohit got the bail in 2017, BJP government was in power at center as well as in the Maharashtra state. Hence some "Educated Delhi Khan Market Lutyens" came up with a brilliant theory that the BJP government influenced NIA to weaken the case so that Lt. Col. Purohit can get the bail!

Well, look at the time line. Lt. Col. Purohit was arrested in 2008 when there was a congress government at the center as well as in Maharashtra. This congress party government remained in power till 2014. which means they were in power for 6 years after Lt. Col. Purohit was arrested. Then why ATS and NIA could not gather evidences in those 6 years and file charges against Lt. Col. Purohit? Who had stopped them? If they had produced evidence in the court then no government would have been able to influence the court case.

Please see the article below to understand why SCI granted bail to Lt. Col. Purohit.

How military treated Lt. Col. Purohit after was released on bail?

Military had conducted its internal inquiry about the charges on Lt. Col. Purohit. Though this report was not published but sources indicate, military probed all the charges like whether Lt. Col. Purohit had kept his superiors and the office of MI informed about his association with Abhinav Bharat, did he file the reports and did he kept his team members informed about his activities. The military establishment also probed, the charges of steeling RDX from the seized explosives from J&K. This also proved wrong and military gave a statement to this effect in the court.

When Lt. Col. Purohit was released on bail from Taloja jail, military made extensive security arrangements to take out Lt. Col. Purohit in full protection. He was taken to the military's Colaba base in Mumbai and was given back his rank. He is not yet assigned to any active duty because of pending court case.

The natural question that comes to mind is, if military had found Lt. Col. Purohit guilty in its internal inquiry then why would they make provisions to take him out in full protection and give back his rank? If military had found him guilty then they too could have arrested him and court marshaled him.

It is rumored that military was paying full salary to his family when he was in jail for nine years. But that is not confirmed hence I will not say anything about it.

If military did not find Lt. Col. Purohit guilty in its internal inquiry then the logical conclusion could be, the cases filed by Maharashtra ATS and NIA are false.

Please see the video of how military made huge arrangements to take custody of Lt. Col. Purohit when he was released on bail from Taloja jail.

Now, let's come back to the question of How Lt. Col. Purohit's arrest is linked to 26/11 attacks?

I will explain the same points, explained in the Part One earlier to establish link. Let's understand the timelines...

8th September 2006 - Malegoan bomb blast

18th February 2007 - Samjhauta Express bombing

6th March 2007 - Illegal Pakistani national Kazmi arrested in Punjab for Samjhauta express bombing. His description matched with the person who was seen planting bomb in the Samjhauta Express.

20th March 2007 - While local police were still investigating the case, Kazmi was released by the court on the disposition given by a senior IPS officer, that Kazmi was innocent, police did not find any evidence of his involvement and must be released! He was released in just 14 days and was not even booked for illegal residency of a Pakistani national in India. He vanished from the radar without a trace.

Till March 2008 - All Home Ministry reports suggest involvement of SIMI and some other Pakistani groups in these two bombings.

26th March 2008 - SIMI chief Safdar Nagari was arrested and during a NARCO testing, he confirms that the Samjhauta express bombing and Malegoan city bombings were done by JeM, LeT and SIMI.He did not mention name/s
of any Hindu person or the organization during the testing. But in spite of having this clear information, investigating agencies never inquired about what Nagari said.

Note - Till March 2008, Home Ministry was believing that these two bomb blasts
was the work of Pakistani LeT and SIMI.

8th November 2008 - Maharashtra government arrest Colonel Purohit for his role in Malegoan blasts. UPA government coins the term “Saffron Terrorism” for the first time and start widespread publicity campaign.

Between 8th Nov 2008 and 26/11 - Senior UPAministers gave repeated public statements
accusing Hindu extremists groups inbombing Samjhauta Express and city of Malegoan. They portrayed the arrest of Lt. Col. Purohit and couple of Hindu activists as the part of "Saffron Terrorism". The term "Saffron Terrorism" obtained large spread publicity and every Indian was shocked to hear this.

AND WITHIN A MONTH AFTER THE ARRESTS, THE 26/11 HAPPENS…..
ALL THE TEN PAKISTANI TERRORISTS WERE WEARING SAFFRON THREADS ON THEIR WRISTS TO SHOW THEY WERE HINDUS AND ALL OF THEM HAD FAKE IDENTITY CARDS WITH HINDU NAMES.

ARE YOU FINDING THE CONNECTING LINK BETWEEN GOVERNMENT COINING THE TERM “SAFFRON TERRORISM”, ARREST OF LT. COL. PUROHIT AND 26/11 ATTACKS? THIS ALL HAPPENED WITHIN A SPAN OF JUST ONE MONTH.
