This series of blogs explains various dimensions of Rajiv Gandhi's assassination. Though LTTE carried out the assassination, they were just hitmen contracted by someone very powerful. 

The real conspirators, planners and financiers were different people. They were hiding behind layers of curtains and virtually untraceable. After assassination, they executed a perfect plan to cover their tracks. Hence they cannot be traced but one can make a logical conclusion about the main kingpin.

Part 6 

Final closing comments  - Following are my thoughts based on the research
that I had done for a couple of years. I am not saying my narrative is true as I do not
have any proof. This is based on some facts and political deductions.

After Rajiv lost elections in 1989, he stopped taking advice from senior party leaders
but trusted more on his close friends and family members. In short, his family members
and his close friends became is advisers. Hence they always played a vital role in
Rajiv’s decisions.

There were some very important decisions made that ultimately killed Rajiv and those
decisions could not have been made without the consent from his family and close
friends. These decisions were;

1. Weakening of his security under the pretext that he needs to mix freely with the people.
2. Arranging two meetings with LTTE to fool Rajiv.
3. Arranging his meeting in TN, though there was a serious threat to his life.
4. Exposing him to a very dangerous security situation at Sri Perambuddur's meeting venue.

Unfortunately, the answers to these questions were never published in the public domain
hence we do not know exactly who pushed Rajiv towards the killers? 

But some guesswork can be done by connecting the dots.

Rajiv and Sonia’s security

During 1991, Rajiv was the last doyen of the Gandhi dynasty. Rajiv's kids Rahul and
Priyanka were very young to take charge of family. Death of Rajiv was a very big blow
to the Congress party, which even today, cannot survive without the name “GANDHI”
in its leadership. With this reality, it is clear that congress party leaders, outside Rajiv's
close friends and family, must have had no interest in killing him. If there was no
"Gandhi" in congress party then congress leaders could not win the elections without
"Gandhi's Name"! Therefore, It must be someone within his close friends and family
who must have planned his assassination with a motive to take control of family wealth,
goodwill and political heritage.

If we probe a little more into it, then his FAMILY’s name comes out more prominently
as the beneficiary. This is because, his family got all the Gandhi family wealth, goodwill
and the political soft corner after his death. 

To make my argument, I will take you back a few years now. 

After Indira Gandhi’s death, Sonia was pleading Rajiv not to become Prime Minister.
She was fearing that her husband might get the same fate like his mother, meaning
someone might kill him too. Her fear was not at all baseless considering situation in
India in 1984. But it seems, Rajiv replied to her saying, if he were to die then he would
die either way (meaning he could be killed even without being a Prime Minister). This
incident is narrated by Sonia Gandhi herself in one of the old interviews, which is
still there on YouTube.

This is very important to understand. This shows, Sonia was very concerned about

Rajiv’s safety. If this is true then why she did not object when Rajiv asked his security

to be weakened? Why she allowed Rajiv’s meeting with the LTTE emissaries two times

in their house in Delhi? Why she did not warn Rajiv of a possible foul play by LTTE? And,

most important, why did she allow Rajiv to visit TN, knowing he had the highest risk to

his life in TN? After all she was his wife and an advisor. Sonia has never talked about it

and hence we don’t know the reasons.

After Rajiv was killed, some Congress party leaders were enthusiastic to make her
congress leader in 1991 itself. But Sonia politely rejected the ask. Everyone expected
that Sonia would leave India and settle in Europe. If she had migrated, it would have been
very natural, considering her safety concerns. She saw her mother in law getting killed,
she saw her husband getting killed and being a mother, now she must have been worried
about the safety of her kids. 

She had all the money, family fortune to lead a comfortable life in Europe by acquiring a
different identity. She would have been very safe in some remote town in Europe. In fact,
later in 2002, Rahul Gandhi used a new identity for his study in the US. She too could
have done it, but she did not. 

In one of the interviews, Sonia narrated how difficult it was for her to live in Delhi after
Rajiv’s death. She said, her house was guarded 24X7 by the armed commandos and
all the activities were constantly monitored. She and her kids had all sorts of restrictions
and could not live a normal life. She always had fear when kids went out for something.

This must be true, but then the question is, why she chose to remain in India under
such a threat? Being an Italian, she had no roots in India and she culturally did not belong
to India. On the top of it, she was worried about the safety of her family. Usually a foreigner
would not take this risk unless he/she is waiting for some benefits to come. Sonia has not
explained herself on this hence we do not know the rationale. 

Sonia’s journey from Rajiv's widow to a Prime Ministerial candidate

After Rajiv’s death, during Lok Sabha polls in 1991, Congress party became the largest party
but failed to get a majority. Hence Congress party wanted to form government with no clear
majority.

Congress leaders, as usual wanted “GANDHI” brand name hence they tapped Sonia for
becoming the Prime Minister. But as per the newspaper reports, she refused because she
was still in the shock of losing Rajiv. Rajiv had died just a few months earlier.

Although she refused to become Prime Minister but she was not out of politics. She
suggested name of Shankar Dayal Sharma as her choice for PM. At that time Sharma
was Vice President of India. He refused the offer, sighting his advanced age. Then Sonia
reluctantly agreed on P. V. Narsimha Rao’s name because he was the next senior most
leader in congress. By the way both these names were suggested to Sonia by their
trusted family friend P. N. Huksur. 

The retired old politician PVNR was called back to become PM as a compromise
candidate because Sonia did not want Sharad Pawar to become PM. Sharad Pawar
demanded election in the Congress Parliamentary Party to elect PM but PVNR won
because of Sonia’s support. 

It is interesting to note that within two months of Rajiv’s death, Sonia was taking an
active interest in selecting next PM of India. Remember, till Rajiv was alive, she was
not in the political forefront anywhere. But after his death, she took a keen interest on
selecting next PM. 

It is interesting to see Sonia’s choice for the PM. First was Shankar Dayal Sharma
and then PVNR. Both were old and retired from politics. 

Now let’s consider another important point. 

Karunanidhi was known for his links with LTTE. Just before Rajiv was killed, Prime
Minister Chandrashekhar had dismissed his government under the charges of
Karunanidhi government’s complicity with LTTE. The Verma commission too blamed
Karunanidhi and suspected that he had a role in Rajiv’s killing. Commission had
recommended that Karunanidhi must be investigated for his role in killing Rajiv
Gandhi. All this is showing that Karunanidhi was a suspect in Rajiv Gandhi’s
assassination.

But when PVNR government made an alliance with AIADMK party, which is an opponent
of Karunanidhi during the 1996 election, congress senior leaders like G. K. Moopnaar, P.
Chidambaram left congress party and formed a new local party named Tamil Manila
Congress (TMC). Karunanidhi won those elections and became CM. TMC later
collaborated with KarunanidhI. Please note, P. Chidambaram and G. K. moopnar were
considered as close confidante of Gandhi family.

The same Karunanidhi, was accused of being a conspirator to Rajiv’s killing and the
gang of Moopnar and P. Chidambaram joined Karunanidhi. If we apply the logic then
does it mean that Moopnaar and Chidambaram supported Karunanidhi at the behest
of Sonia? It is interesting to note that, the duo came back to congress soon after Sonia
became congress president in 1998.

Another important factor to consider. Later in 2004, when Vajpai government lost the
elections, congress had no clear majority of their own to form the government and created
an alliance of multiple parties. Sonia surprisingly included Karunanidhi in UPA instead of
AIADMK or some other party. 

How come Sonia could forgive and forget Karunanidhi who was accused of his
involvement in killing her husband? And not only that,  she allowed him to be a partner
in her government. Who would forgive husband’s killer so easily? This really looks very
strange...Sonia has never clarified on this point too.

Hence there is enough room to suggest that Sonia had some kind of relationship with
Karunanidhi who was accused of conspiring to kill Rajiv.

Later, Karunanidhi's family to swindle hundreds of crores of Rupees in 2G scam and
nothing happened to them!

Sonia and her family demanded Rajiv’s killers, Nalini and her husband be pardoned and
be released from the jail. Priyanka Gandhi even visited her father’s killer in the TN jail.
This too looks strange to demand their release.  

Sonia said, she has forgiven Nalini and her husband for Rajiv's killing. If Sonia is so kind
hearted then why she did not show the same forgiveness to PVNR’s dead body? She did
not even allow his body to enter Congress party’s headquarters and did not allow funeral
to be done in New Delhi. Hence Sonia’s expression of forgiveness is all B.S. 

Another interesting fact, Nalini and her Sri Lankan husband Murugan got married after
killing Rajiv and Nalinili was pregnant when she was arrested. Later in 1992 she gave
birth to a daughter. Her daughter, Harithra Sriharn lived in the jail with her mother for couple
of years. But later she was sent back to Sri Lanka to her maternal grandparents. Nalini
pleaded to give Harithra Indian citizenship but it was rejected. Then she was completely
out of news for number of years. Recently Harithra came into news because she completed
Bio Medical Engineering in Glasgow UK! Good to see Harithra taking good education but
question remains, who paid for her education right from high school till college in UK?
Education in UK is not cheap and getting this kind of education for an orphaned child
raises questions. Was it again a goodwill gesture of Gandhi Family?

The money factor…

It is accused that Prabhakaran received a final payment of 65 million USD just two days
before Rajiv was killed. It was wire transferred to his foreign bank. This gives a suspicion
that LTTE was a contract killer and they killed Rajiv for money. And that also explains
why Prabhakan took the risk of losing everything by killing Rajiv. He was expecting a “
Favorable” government to come to power in India after Rajiv was killed. This would have
covered all his sins. Plus he was paid lavishly for the hit job hence he accepted the hit job. 

But to his bad luck, he did not get favorable government immediately after killing Rajiv
and PVNR became the PM of India. This ruined his plan.

If this payment info is true, then it shows Prabhakaran killed Rajiv purely for money and
there was no other motive. The conspirators and financiers were different people, who still
remain behind the curtains.

This is the final point…

When Sonia Gandhi got married with Rajiv in 1968, the Gandhi family was going really
great in Indian politics. Indira Gandhi herself was a very strong leader, later her younger
son Sanjay joined her in the politics and he was her political successor. Rajiv at that time
was not interested in politics and was not a political successor to Indira. Rajiv at that time
was a commercial pilot in Air India.

The point is, before 1980, Sonia had not even the remotest chance of getting Gandhi
family’s political fortune. 

But in 1980 Sanjay died in a plane crash, Indira was killed in 1984 and Rajiv was killed
in 1991. In other words, within 11 years, all the three strong people of Gandhi dynasty
died in UNNATURAL DEATHS and Italian born lady became sole owner of Gandhi
family’s fortune and the political heritage. Her only legal partner in Gandhi Family's
wealth was Sanjay's widow Maneka Gandhi. But she was disowned by Indira Gandhi
immediately after Sanjay's death.

Does it not feel odd that a foreigner lady, who had no bonding with India, no
understanding of Indian culture, traditions, suddenly became head of the Gandhi
dynasty...after three important people of the Gandhi family died unnatural deaths? 

Later Sonia grabbed the Gandhi family’s political heritage too and ruled India,
which is the largest democracy on the earth for TEN long years. Her rule was
tainted with big scams and corruption charges. 

It was rumored that Sonia was listed as the fourth richest and powerful lady in the
world in some international magazine. Isn't it amazing, a half educated, middle class
Italian lady grabbing power in India and minting money to become 4th richest powerful
person in the world? 

Earlier we talked about the “Beneficiary” in the political assassinations. There is no
doubt, Sonia was the biggest beneficiary of Rajiv’s death. She not only got Gandhi
family’s wealth but she grabbed political power too, under the “Gandhi” name. She
earned enough money in 10 years of UPA government  so that her 70 next generations
can enjoy a lavish life.

Part 5

In this part, we will first establish that Rajiv’s murder was a political assassination and not a madman's vengeance. We will prove it was a political murder by comparing with the hallmark characteristics of a political assassination. Then compare JFK’s assassination with Rajiv’s assassination using the same hallmark characteristics.

Then at the end we will establish who might be behind this conspiracy?

HOW CAN WE CALL RAJIV’S KILLING AS A POLITICAL ASSASSINATION?

Let’s understand TEN HALLMARK FEATURES of POLITICAL ASSASSINATION. These ten hallmarks are always found in any political assassination. This info is not picked from some textbook but I developed them after studying numerous political assassinations. 

1) CLEAR OBJECTIVE - Political assassinations are planned with clear objectives. The objective could be either to grab power or to protect financial interests or both. Sometimes real objectives are not visible immediately and they may take some time to surface. Best example - Assassination of Anwar Sadat on 6th October 1981.

2) POLITICAL PATRONAGE - The political patronage is required to protect the real conspirators and to cover tracks. After assassination, people in power take necessary steps to influence investigation in a direction to divert the investigation or even suppress the investigation. But one thing is clear, no political assassination can be successful w/o the support of the politicians who come to power after assassination.If this is not planned and executed then either the assassination fails or the real conspirators are caught immediately. Best example, operation Valkyrie, the failed attempt to kill Hitler on 20th July 1944.   

3) KILLERS ARE IDENTIFIED IMMEDIATELY - It is very important to immediately “Fix” the blame on the killers and identify them. The conspirators meticulously plan ahead of time to implicate someone to be blamed as the killer/s. They choose the fall guys meticulously so that public should immediately believe in their motive for killing. They plant evidence against them in advance. The pre-identified killer name/s are quickly released after just the preliminary investigation. The pre-identified killer/s may be or may not be the real killers but they fit to the profile of the story line and people believe the story. People believing the story is MOST IMPORTANT. Best example - blaming Oswald in JFK's killing.

4) ARREST AND KILL THE PRE-IDENTIFIED KILLERS - The “Identified Killer/s” are captured and silenced immediately. The pre-identified killers are captured quickly and are killed immediately. This action serves two purposes. a) Public feels the real justice is done quickly. b) Since the pre-identified killer/s are killed immediately, they cannot tell their side of the story in the courtroom. Hence defense cannot poke holes into the fabricated story created by the conspirators. Best example - Killing of Oswald in the police custody just two days after JFK was assassinated.

5) IDENTIFY KILLER WEAPON QUICKLY – In any homicide case, the murder weapon  is

very important. The killer weapon is the link between the victim and the killer. In political assassinations too, the weapon is very important and it is recovered immediately. The killer weapons are firmly linked with the killer so as to give good credential to the story line.

This information is released quickly to further strengthen the story line and also to stop the conspiracy theories. Best example, assassination of Bobby Kennedy. The assassin was caught on the spot with the weapon.

6) CREATE A CONVINCING STORY FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION - Prime investigating agency comes up with a  very convincing story explaining the motive behind the killing. In other words, the motive is established quickly. The reason given is so convincing that the public starts believing in that story. This is again done to suppress the conspiracy theories and divert the attention. Best example, assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, the blame was fixed on LTTE in couple of days and motive was established quickly because of known enmity between Rajiv and LTTE.

7) ELIMINATE THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW TOO MUCH - The people who know too much about the plot are eliminated systematically. This is done so as to break the link in the chain of command of the conspirators. This is necessary so that in case if someone spills the beans, still no one can connect the links to reach to the top level conspirators because the links are broken. All such people die with unnatural cause in a quick succession, like accidents, murder etc. Best example, assassination of Nepal's Royal family in 2001. Lot of people died on the day of massacre but later, few more people died with unnatural deaths.

8) SET UP AN  INQUIRY COMMISSION BUT NEVER RELEASE THE REPORT - In every political assassination, it is a common practice to constitute an inquiry commission headed by a retired Supreme Court judge/s to probe the details like, failure in security, conspiracy theory etc. The inquiry commission achieves following purpose 1) Public gets a psychological satisfaction that the truth behind the assassination would be probed impartially. 2) Media focus is on the inquiry commission hearings. Since the media spotlight is on the inquiry commission proceedings, the conspirators get some time to manipulate the investigation and clean up the mess. Most important point, the commission’s report is never published under the reason of national security. Hence whatever findings the report has, never gets disclosed. Best example, Warren commission report on JFK's assassination or Verma commission's report on Rajiv's assassination.

9) CREATE SMOKE SCREEN BETWEEN KILLERS AND THE CONSPIRATORS - A thick smoke screen between killers and conspirators is created. As a result, public can see the “FACES” of the killers but not the faces of conspirators. Public and media are misguided with a very convincing story line that goes well with the matching profile of the killers, the forensic evidence collected and eye witnesses etc. The plot is planned like a honeycomb cell wherein people in the plot don’t know people in another cell. The conspirators are never in direct touch with the actual killers. They deal with the killers through intermediate contacts. The contract money is routed using multiple international transfers, so that it cannot be traced back to the original sender. If the main conspirators are the close friends or close relatives of the assassinated leader then they play a role of a victim, to get the public sympathy so that no one can suspect them. With all this planning, public can see the how the killers executed the plot but they cannot see who were the conspirators behind the plot.

10) REAL CONSPIRATORS MAY REMAIN HIDDEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME - Real conspirators may not be the immediate beneficiary – Sometimes conspirators do not want to be

seen as the immediate beneficiary because that may raise the suspicion. Hence they may allow some cooling time before they claim the benefit. This delay further disguise the public as they cannot see the real beneficiary.

John F. Kennedy's assassination is considered as the classic case of political assassination.  Now I will use these Ten points to show similarities between Rajiv’s killing and JFK’s killing. This will clearly establish the POLITICAL ASSASSINATION TRUTH. And at the end, I will give my closing comments

1. CLEAR OBJECTIVE - 
1. JFK’s assassination - The Kennedy brothers were going in a path breaking direction on cold war, world peace and segregation policy. The success of these changes would have altered the course of the American policies and would have affected some powerful business interests. Hence JFK and his brother Robert Kennedy were assassinated to bring back the policies towards the traditional way.
2. Rajiv’s assassination - After Indira Gandhi’s death, Rajiv was the last doyen of the Gandhi family to hold family wealth and political power. His assassination was planned with an objective to swindle family wealth and grab political power under the name of Gandhi dynasty.

2) POLITICAL PATRONAGE -

1. JFK’s assassination - The American President was killed on broad daylight on the road, in front of the public and media and they blamed it on a lone wolf named Oswald. It is highly impossible that a lone person with mediocre shooting skills would have planned and executed the plot by defeating president’s elaborate security. There were ridiculous holes in the theory to prove Oswald Killed JFK, that no normal person could have believed in it. For example, a single bullet criss crossing in a haphazard direction, piercing through car metal parts and injuring seven people! It was always rumored that very powerful people in US were involved in the plot but they were never investigated or never came on official radar because of political patronage.  

2. Rajiv’s assassination - The Verma commission noted that the plan was made in such a way that Rajiv would have never return home alive from Sri Perambuddur. Killing Rajiv was a very big action and LTTE could not have done it on its own, without the help from someone very close to Rajiv. This group of close associates of Rajiv are the main conspirators who were never investigated or charged. This happened only because of political patronage.

3) KILLERS ARE IDENTIFIED IMMEDIATELY 

a) JFK’s assassination - Oswald was arrested within few hours after the assassination and was paraded in front of the media.

b) Rajiv’s assassination - Human bomb Dhanu was identified within 48 hours and her links with LTTE was declared to the media.

4) ARREST AND KILL THE PRE-IDENTIFIED KILLERS

a) JFK’s assassination - Oswald  was captured quickly but very next day he was killed by a police officer, named Jack Ruby in the police custody. Jack was arrested  but later he too died in the police custody due to cancer. This removed any chance of getting the truth. The eye witnesses in JFK's assassination had reported firing from the roadside grass (as against the official version of firing from the top floor of the library building). Most of them died in unnatural deaths in next couple of years. No evidence was left to tell the truth and the truth was buried permanently!

b) Rajiv’s assassination - Sivarasan, and all his accomplices were spotted in Bangalore. The local police had a chance to capture them alive. But they did not get the clearance from Home Mistry in Delhi. Bangalore police had to wait for 24 hours till the commando’s arrived from Delhi. The resulting delay alerted the LTTE team and a fierce gun battle went on for 24 hours. On August 20th 1991, all the LTTE men were killed in the operation. There is a scope to say that these people were deliberately killed so that they should not speak the truth.
The LTTE chief Prabhakaran also was killed by the Sri Lankan forces on May 18th 2009 with active support from Indian Navy.  It was alleged that Prabhakaran was executed after he was captured alive. Here again, by killing Prabhakaran, the last chance of getting the truth was eliminated. It is important to note that the president of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa immediately visited India after Prabhakaran was killed and praised Indian government for the help.

5) IDENTIFY KILLER WEAPON QUICKLY

a) JFK’s assassination - The vintage rifle that “Supposedly” killed JFK was recovered within few hours after the assassination. Very soon Oswald’s old photo holding that gun was released.

b) Rajiv’s assassination - Investigation quickly established the method of killing within 24 hours. Dhanu’s body was cut in half due to the explosion. They found pieces of the explosive waist belt attached to her body. The SIT team was able to recover all the pieces of the belt and reconstructed the belt. They proved the waist belt that she was wearing was strapped with plastic explosive.

6) CREATE A CONVINCING STORY FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION

a) JFK’s assassination - In 1963, the cold war was at its peak. Both the countries had hostilities over Cuba and Korea. US public was under constant threat of a nuclear holocaust.
JFK was killed during this environment by Oswald who had communistic background. He had secretly visited USSR and was in touch with the communist groups in the US.
His communistic background was a very good motive for the killing. This reason was sufficient for the public to believe that Oswald indeed killed the president.

b) Rajiv’s assassination - LTTE was very upset on Rajiv for not only stopping all the government aid but more because, he sent Indian Peace Keeping Force in Sri Lanka to disarm LTTE. LTTE considered this action as a backstabbing by Rajiv Gandhi.
After Rajiv's assassination, when SIT team established the nationality of Dhanu, Sivrasan and others as Sri Lankan Tamils, no one had doubt that it was the work of LTTE. Plus LTTE had a track record of carrying out such suicide attacks in Sri Lanka. Hence public instantly believed in that story.

7) ELIMINATE THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW TOO MUCH - 

a) JFK’s assassination - The conspirators were very high level people and they were dealing with the killers through multiple layers. All these key link people were systematically eliminated after the assassination.
Similarly the common people, who were waiting on the road to see the President, gave the statement to the police saying they heard the shots coming from the bushes behind them. Some people who were taking pictures of president JFK, caught the smoke coming behind the bushes, right at the moment when JFK was hit. It was proving someone had fired the gun from behind the bush. This suggested, there were multiple shooters, whereas government theory was there was a lone shooter, Oswald. All these people who reported bush firing died in next couple of years by unnatural deaths.

b) Rajiv’s assassination - After the assassination, the “On-Site” conspirators, Sivrasan and his other team members were hiding in a house outskirts of Bangalore city.  In August 1991, the local police had the chance to capture them alive. But the commandos used excessive force and killed all of them. No attempt was made to capture them alive. Sivrasan was the right hand man of Prabhakaran and he knew too much about the plot. Hence he was killed instead of arresting.
Later in 2009, Sri Lankan army and Indian Navy started joint action against LTTE chief Prabhakaran. In June 2009 Prabhakaran was killed after he was captured alive. Someone in politics did not want Prabhakaran to remain alive to tell the truth hence he was killed.

8) SET UP AN  INQUIRY COMMISSION BUT NEVER RELEASE THE REPORT -

a) JFK’s assassination - Warren commission was constituted to probe the killing. People expected this commission to probe every single lead and go to the truth of JFK’s assassination. But in reality this commission was used to officially cover up the conspiracy by endorsing single shooter theory (Oswald), with three gunshots. In the process, the commission accepted the government’s ridicules “Theory” of “Magic Bullet”. This single “Magic Bullet” made seven exit wounds and injured three people and still remained intact!
The Warren Commission's report is not made public due to the national security reason. It may be published in 2038; i.e. after 75 years!

b) Rajiv’s assassination - Justice Jain commission and Justice Verma commission was constituted to probe conspiracy in Rajiv’s killing. Jain commission’s judicial powers banned any public discussion of the case. This ensured total secrecy about the inquiry proceedings.
The commission’s report was never published to the public under the reason of national security.
However a part of the report was leaked to the press and that part of the report had blamed Mr. Karunanidhi for playing active role in the assassination.
Another commission of Justice Verma was constituted to probe the failures in the security of Rajiv Gandhi. Even this report was never published.

9) CREATE SMOKE SCREEN BETWEEN KILLERS AND THE CONSPIRATORS - 

a) JFK’s assassination - The real conspirators were hiding behind the smoke screen by adopting following 3 techniques.
1) Give a story to the media and public that they can believe easily (misguide the public) –Oswald’s communist background story was released.
2) Use intermediate links to work with killers (protect self-identity) – It is said that the conspirators used underworld criminals as the intermediate links to deal with the exiled Cubans who did the actual hit job. After assassination, all the links were eliminated and now there is no proof to link the hit men with the conspirators.
3) Try to gain public sympathy by acting as a victim (to fool public) – In Kennedy’s case, no such person was found to play this role but in many cases the conspirators play this role if they are close relative or a close friend of the assassinated leader. This is done to avoid suspicion. 

b) Rajiv’s assassination - 

      1) Give a story to the media and public that they can believe easily (misguide the public) – The LTTE story was created.
2) Use intermediate links to work with killers (protect self-identity) – The conspirators used LTTE sympathizers to deal with LTTE. After the assassination, all the people who knew about the full plot were systematically eliminated. Now there is no proof to link the hit men with the conspirators.
3) Try to gain public sympathy by acting as a victim (to fool public) – It is very clear that Rajiv was systematically trapped into the killer’s dragnet by his close advisers, who were his close relatives or friends and they betrayed him by setting him up. Later on, the same people acted as the victim of Rajiv’s assassination to gain public sympathy. This naturally protected them from being probed as suspect.

10) REAL CONSPIRATORS MAY REMAIN HIDDEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME - 

a) JFK’s assassination - War is a big multi Billion (or even Trillion) dollars business in US. Peace talks and peace treaties are against this business. JFK wanted to resolve the issues, not by war but with the understanding and in a peaceful way. This was detrimental to the war industry.
The conspirators had to wait for 18 months after JFK’s assassination.  In March 1965, US started full flagged war in Vietnam and that gave boost to lot of defense related industries. The war lasted for eight long years and everyone in the conspirator’s team milked the cow. 

b) Rajiv’s assassination - Till 2019, Nehru-Gandhi family ruled India for 48 years out of 72 years of independence. The dynasty hold lot of political clout, goodwill and sympathy with the Indian people. In 1991, Rajiv was the last chieftain of that family to preserve that treasure.
the people who killed Rajiv would have either wanted to destroy the ruling family of India or take over the family legacy, wealth and eventually rule India.
It is not wise to take names here as the conspirators are still unidentified. But the events in between 1996 till 2014 possibly point, who the beneficiaries of Rajiv’s killing were. 

When we compare JFK’s assassination with Rajiv’s assassination then we can find all the pointers match. This proves that Rajiv’s killing was not just a revenge by LTTE but it was a very well planned, funded and executed POLITICAL ASSASSINATION.
